Jacob's Ladder specializes in the application of HeatBloc-Ultra radiant barrier. HeatBloc-Ultra has been proven in a number of scientific studies to significantly lower the temperature of a protected area during the warmer months of the year. This can result in a substantial reduction in utility bill costs for a home or business.
Description
HeatBloc-Ultra is an aluminum colored, water-based, low emissivity (low-e) coating. When applied to building materials such as plywood, OSB or plasterboard, HeatBloc-Ultra lowers their surface emissivity to 0.19 or lower, thereby blocking over 80% of the radiant heat trying to enter the home. It is classified by ASTM as an Interior Radiation Control Coating (IRCC).
Use
HeatBloc-Ultra is designed to be applied to the underside of the attic deck or the underside of a roof to significantly reduce the amount of radiant heat entering the structure, thereby reducing cooling requirements. (Read the rest of this article at the HeatBloc official website.)
